Just a note to indicate our deep appreciation for the fine way you have worked with us. First the repair job was first rate and under a bid from a larger company in town.

But in addition, I am sorry your employee shorted out our battery and blew out the stereo. But your integrity in replacing that twice, and giving my wife a rental car after the date originally to get the car back, are all evidences of the integrity of you and your fine company.

Today I received your response to the complaint I filed over the Internet.

I would like to express my appreciation for your prompt response.

Unfortunately I do not understand auto body repair. For this reason I have used Shine Collision Repair Inc. for any repairs needed on my vehicles. They have always treated me with respect and fair and honest. When body work is needed, they get my full satisfaction. So for them to sign the statement that they did, means a great deal to my self and my family. They could have just as easily put the car back as Farmers had wanted, and I would have been none the wiser. Shine should be congratulated.

Now as to Farmers insurance! They wanted to short change my repairs for which I would have never known.

I did notify Farmers that I had initiated a complaint with your department. Supervisors were brought in and as it stands now, I have an appointment with Shine on March 10, 2004 for 2 days to do the necessary repairs that should have been done in the first place. Farmers has also agreed to cover the expense for car rental for these 2 days.

To this point Farmers has made amends and seems to be wanting to get this right. As long as the repairs are done, I have no interest in pursuing this any further. However, many times only one person speaking up can indicate many more abuses that go without notice out of ignorance by the consumer. If this is the case with Farmers, I will gladly help your Department in any manner you wish.

I will hold on to the paperwork you enclosed until after March 12th. Unless otherwise advised.
